Bikeway Detour starting May 13

The Town of Lexington has announced that a section of the Minuteman Bikeway in Lexington will be closed beginning Monday May 13th, 2013. The closure is from the Seasons Four driveway to the Woburn Street crossing. A signed bikeway detour will be provided for users. The bikeway will be closed 24/7 for the project duration which is anticipated to be approximately 3 weeks. The work entails the replacement of a collapsed culvert causing local property flooding. We appreciate your patience and cooperation for this necessary project. A map of the detour is available on our website at http://www.lexingtonma.gov/dpw/constructionprojects.cfm.

Annual Bikeway Cleanup in Lexington

SATURDAY, MAY 11
Time: 9:00 - 11:00AM

Bedford Street
Revere Street
Lexington Depot
Maple Street
Fottler Avenue
Leaders will be at each of these locations to guide the cleanup of a section of the Bikeway. The cleanup usually lasts about two hours. Volunteers are asked to bring a pair of work gloves, pruning shears, and water to drink. Leaders will provide trash bags.
